SERVICE AWARD
GUIDELINES AND JUDGING CRITERIA1.
PURPOSES
A)
To recognize and award members of the North Dakota Apartment Association
for effort and work expended in interest of the Association and the apartment
industry.
B)
To demonstrate to the members the association’s appreciation for this
effort, work and concern.
C)
To encourage other members to contribute time and effort to the
betterment of the Association and the industry.
D)
To encourage the development of leadership skills in the present and
future association leadership.
2. SELECTION OF RECIPIENTS FOR SERVICE AWARDS
The following
procedure is suggested for selecting service award nominees.
A)
Each local association or chapter is invited to submit the name of one
nominee to the state association, accompanied by written information and
documentation setting forth the reason for the particular nomination. This
selection is not limited to the local association.
B)
The officers and/or directors of the North Dakota Apartment Association
may submit additional nominees for consideration other than the nominee
suggested by their local association up to the time of the final selection.
C)
The selection of the winner will be the responsibility of the current
Officers and the Executive Director of the Association.
D)
The Local Associations, Chapters and Directors are requested to submit
their nominees to the Executive Director prior to March 1st
for consideration.
3. GRADING FOR SELECTION
1.
The nominees will be graded per the criteria set forth in Section 4.
2.
The nominee receiving the largest number of total points will be the
Service Award recipient.
3.
Ties will be re-evaluated using the same procedure.
4.
The Service Award recipient will be announced during the annual
convention.
4. CRITERIA FOR SELECTION
The following criteria is suggested for
use in selecting Service Award Recipient:
A)
The nominee has been involved with the Apartment Association (Local
and/or State) for a minimum of three (3) years.
B)
The nominee has served on various committees, served as an officer in
either the State or Local Association
C)
The efforts and accomplishments of the nominee have influenced the
association over a wide area.
D)
The nominee has served as a volunteer without compensation other than
reasonable payment for material, use of equipment and reimbursement of expenses
incurred.
